Kermit Buggs will not return

New Penn State head coach Bill O’Brien will keep assistant coaches Larry Johnson (defensive line) and Ron Vanerlinden (linebackers) on his new coaching staff. Both are solid keys to the coaching staff that is being formed and will have a strong understanding of what Penn State is all about, which will help in recruiting over the coming weeks. One coach who we now know for sure will not be back is secondary coach Kermit Buggs.

Penn State’s secondary has had some good talent but down the stretch in the big game at Wisconsin and in the TicketCity Bowl the secondary was picked apart by Russell Wilson and Case Keenum. We’ll see what direction O’Brien goes with the secondary.
