NCAA Football 12 has been out for a few days and I am having a blast playing through it. I just got in to the good parts of the Road to Glory mode, where I played my senior year of high school and took my school to the playoffs. If for whatever reason you have not picked up this year’s offering from EA Sports I can tell you that it is a joy to play. And it is very deep.
You can customize the game beyond the limits of previous games. The ability to create a playbook, completely edit conferences (Penn State in the Big East along with Notre Dame, Miami and Virginia Tech? Done!), and more. Updated rosters have already been posted by the folks from The Gameing Tailgate for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but you will need to make your own decision on whether to start Matt McGloin (85 overall) or Rob Bolden (80) as your starting quarterback. I went with Bolden despite the lower rating.
Even the new Penn State jerseys have been included, with the removal of the white stripping on the neckline and sleeves. Think the new jerseys look ugly? Go ahead and edit them and bring back the white trim. Heck, add numbers to the helmets if you want or create a Pro Combat style uniform for Penn State (sacrilegious, but whatever)!
Operation Sports posted this gameplay video of Penn State hosting new Big Ten rival Nebraska the other day. I figured I would post it just in case you have not seen it yet.
